‘BJP is a party of terrorists’: Mallikarjun Kharge hits back at PM Modi over ‘urban Naxal’ jibe at Congress- Dilli Dehat se

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge dubbed the BJP ‘a party of terrorists’ on Saturday following criticism from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also accused those in the saffron party of “lynching and beating” people, and committing atrocities against SC/STs. The remarks came in the wake of multiple assertions from PM Modi linking the Opposition party to ‘urban Naxals’.

“Modi always labels Congress as an urban Naxal party… It’s his habit. But what about his own party? BJP is a party of terrorists, involved in lynchings. Modi has no right to make such accusations,” reports quoted him as saying.

The PM had earlier said the BJP’s victory in the Haryana elections showed the mood in the country and the people have shown they will not fall prey to the hateful conspiracies of the Congress and “urban Naxals”.

“The Congress wants to keep Dalits as Dalits, the poor as poor. So, beware of the Congress. Urban Naxals are running the Congress. The party wants to divide the country, so it is trying to divide us. So, be united to foil the Congress party’s plot. This is the time to be together,” Modi said while addressing an event near Washim in poll-bound Maharashtra.

He had also made similar remarks earlier this week while virtually laying the foundation stone of various development projects in Maharashtra.

PM Modi said that the Congress party attempted to mislead the public of all sections including Dalits, farmers, youth, but their efforts were thwarted.

“The entire ecosystem of Congress and the entire gang of urban Naxals were busy misleading the public. But all the conspiracies of Congress were ruined. It tried to spread lies among the Dalits. But the Dalit community sensed their dangerous intentions. Dalits realised that Congress wants to divide its vote bank by snatching away their reservation,” he added.
